Terms and Conditions: Domestic clients
1. Introduction
- Welcome to Upholstery Village! By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions. These terms govern your use of our services, products, and website.
2. Service Agreement
- Scope of Work: We provide bespoke upholstery, reupholstery, and custom furnishing services. Each project scope will be agreed upon in writing before commencement.
- Quotations: All quotes are valid for 14 days from the issue date. Quotes may change if modifications are made to the original request.
3. Payments
- Deposit: A deposit of 50% of the total project cost is required to secure materials and initiate work.
- Balance: The remaining balance is payable upon completion and before delivery or collection of the final product.
- Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers, debit/credit cards, and other agreed payment methods.
4. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders cancelled within 48 hours of deposit payment may be eligible for partial refunds, depending on material procurement.
- Custom or bespoke orders are non-refundable once work has commenced due to the personalised nature of the product.
5. Delivery and Timelines
- Project timelines will be communicated at the start. While we strive to meet deadlines, delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., material availability and supplier delays).
- Delivery fees will be outlined in the quotation if applicable.
We collect and deliver at the door only. We may agree to bring the furniture inside at the customer’s request; however, we will not be responsible for any damage, such as scratches or chips.
6. Warranty
- We offer a warranty on workmanship. This does not cover general wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused post-delivery.
- For material warranties, clients must adhere to the care instructions provided.
7. Client Obligations
- Accurate measurements and clear specifications must be provided for custom work. We cannot be held responsible for errors resulting from incorrect information.
- Clients must ensure access for pickup, delivery, or installation appointments.
8. Liability
Upholstery Village is not liable for:
- Any damage arising from misuse or mishandling of the product post-delivery.
- Delays caused by events beyond our control.
9. Changes to Terms
- Upholstery Village reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and communicated where necessary.
